We know visits to the dentist can feel scary and complicated and we’re on a mission to change that. With a caring approach and years of experience, we help make dental procedures easier, more affordable, and as comfortable as possible.
Other dentists turn to us for tricky tooth removals and dental implants. And since we keep our services light, we can keep our prices tight, making difficult dental procedures more accessible. We’re also one of the few clinics in Christchurch to be able to provide IV sedation, a popular choice for anxious patients or anyone who wants a more comfortable dental experience.

Meet your dentist:
Lester Settle
I am passionate about helping people feel at ease with their dental care. I have over 30 years of experience in dentistry and am the former Dental Clinical Director at Christchurch Hospital. Over time, I developed a special interest in tooth removal and dental implants, and I noticed many patients were delaying essential procedures due to fear, anxiety, or cost. I founded Wisdom Dental to address these concerns — offering expert care, in a supportive environment, at an affordable price, with as little discomfort as possible.
Meet your dentist:
Joseph Foster
I trained at the University of Otago where I completed a BSc and BDS then more recently returned and completed a PGDipClinDent in oral surgery. I practice in all areas of general dentistry, with special interests in Oral Surgery and Forensic Odontology. I am a member of the New Zealand Society for Sedation and am experienced with intravenous sedation. I have also recently gained a credential in Forensic Odontologist with the New Zealand society for Forensic Odontology.
I split my clinical time between working as a Dental Officer in the New Zealand Defence Force and providing care for patients at Wisdom Dental alongside Dr Lester Settle.
